In-Situ Test: Bure URL, Andra, France

The new developed fiber optic sensing systems will be tested in cooperation with ANDRA at the French URL Bure. The objectives of these tests are to demonstrate the proper work of DBE TECHNOLOGY's new developed fiber optic monitoring systems for hydro-thermo-mechanical parameters in a clay environment and to characterize the effect of thermal expansion on the deformation of underground cavities by a combination of measurements and mathematical calculations as a basis for a repository layout for extended borehole disposal of heat generating waste.
